Lahore Fort:A Tourists Paradise

The fort was initially constructed in 1566 AD by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, on the ruins of a mud fort which existed as early as 1021 AD. The Fort is rectangular and  is located in the north western corner of Lahore, adjacent to the Walled City. It has 13 gates. The main gates are located alongside the centre of the western and eastern walls. Located centrally in the city of Lahore, the Lahore Fort is a magnificent fortified palace complex. Its elaborate Mughal architecture is straight out of a storybook of the Mysterious East. The impressive twin-domed entrance leads into elaborately decorated courtyards and pavilions with water features, some with still intact sumptuous wall decorations of inlaid semiprecious stones and painted designs. It's large enough to allow several elephants carrying members of the royal family to enter at one time

A Beautiful City

Islamabad nestles against the backdrop of the Margallah Hills at the northern end of Potohar Plateau. Its climate is healthy, pollution free, plentiful in water resources and lush green. It is a modern and carefully planned city with wide roads and avenues, elegant public buildings and well-organized bazaars, markets, and shopping centers.
The city is divided into eight basic zones: Administrative, diplomatic enclave, residential areas, educational sectors, industrial sectors, commercial areas, and rural and green areas.
The metropolis of Islamabad today is the pulsating beat of Pakistan, resonating with the energy and strength of a growing, developing nation. It is a city which symbolizes the hopes and dreams of a young and dynamic nation and espouses the values and codes of the generation that has brought it thus far. It is a city that welcomes and promotes modern ides, but at the same time recognizes and cherishes its traditional values and rich history.

Pakistan Tourists Spot Bala Hisar Peshawar

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in the past known as the North-West Frontier Province, is one of the four provinces of Pakistan, which is located in the north west of the country. It borders with Afghanistan (North-west), Gilgit-Baltistan (North-east), Azad Jammu & Kashmir (East), the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) (West and South), Baluchistan (South) and Punjab and the Islamabad Capital Territory (South-east).This is a view of downtown Peshawar from the Bala Hisar Fort built by the Mogul emperor Babur. The walls are thick, and it must have been almost impossible for anyone to breach from the outside. While I was there, the US had just compelled Pakistan to close the border with Afghanistan. This meant that the Khyber Pass area was closed to tourists.
